Guesthouses in Patong/Karon

Hi Astra

Well i can recommend the Regent 2002, it%26#39;s on the second road from the beach. Just Goggle the name and it is the first listing !

I stayed there last Feb for 6 nights and i will be there again this Feb 07 for 7 nights.

You will see the pic on the site, it has heaps of really good resturants that set up at night and is quite later on at night.

I liked it so much that i am returning again, B800 per night ($28.00 AUD) and you can book on the web site and pay when you get there !!!

I will be there 7th till the 14th so may see you !!

Karon Sunshine Guest house bar and Restaurant is good.

I haven%26#39;t stayed there but went there for dinner and drinks a few time. The owner is really friendly.

Hi Phill

Tks so much for the recommendation. I have looked at just about every hotel/guesthouse in Patong and this does look just what we need. My husband (also called Phill) and I were in Phuket last September. We stayed at Kalim Bay at the Baan Norbert Apartments right on Kalim Bay - at the north end of Patong - it was great. We also stayed at Diamond Cottage in Karon which was delightful. We love Thailand and am taking my Mum and 23 year old daughter for a holiday. We have just lost our Dad and poor Mum is in need of a restful holiday. Now all I have to do is wait for their reply. let%26#39;s hope we can get in.

warm regards

Hi Emjay and Tahji

Tks for your postings. I have looked at them both and they look great especially Casa Brazil. Have sent off a request to Casa Brazil so hope we can get in. You will love Karon Beach. Very different to the frenetic pace of Patong. Make sure you go to the Dino restaurant.

The food is great and the atmosphere is something out of the stone age. They dress up as Wilma and Fred Flintstone. At night Sara the baby elephant is there for a photo opportunity and you can buy bananas to feed her and they won%26#39;;t cost $12 a kilo either. You can hire a tuk tuk for a tour of the island. Make sure you don%26#39;t miss the cashew factory and the pearl factory. You can also visit the northern beaches especially Nai Yang. The tsunami almost wiped them out. It is quite near the airport and you can spend a few hours there before your flight departs if you wanted too. There are little restaurants are on the beach. It is so beautiful. Enjoy your trip
