Im arriving at 0100 hrs and wonder if Im better off staying in BKK or in the airport or just heading down to Pattaya.

probably best to get a taxi to Pattaya and get into a hotel....could help if you told them you were coming.

I agree, just head straight down, road should be fast, I agree about also letting your hotel know you will be arriving during the night. Would be a waste to go into bangkok and then head out again as the airport is on the way to pattaya anyway.

Would anyone try to sleep at the airport. and head to Pattaya in the morning by the bus

Although airport seat are specifically designed to be uncomfortable to sleep on I saw several people sleeping around the place, with pillows and blankets, apparently undisturbed by the security. try the mezzanine floors up towards departures - they looked pretty quiet.

Sorry no idea about the buses...but you won%26#39;t need to book as such there%26#39;s bound to be a ticket office somewhere. THey [probably don%26#39;t run all night though.

If you want to get straight out of the place, I would get a taxi...the official fare is 1050 plus motorway tolls ...about another 100 to 150. This way you don%26#39;t have to worrry about waiting foer buses getting song taews in Pattaya and handling you luggage over and over just stick it in the boot and get out at your hotel.

the bus will be about a sixth of the price, therewill also be minibses but I don%26#39;t know where they can be booked either. At the old airport they didn%26#39;t start till about 8 or 9 in the morning.
