Flights from Bangkok to Ko Samui?

Planning to fly into Bangkok and stay a few days in Dec. Then would like to fly into Ko Samui possibly for a week of beach time. How do I go about booking flights in and out of Ko Samui?

Also, would love advice on places to stay under $100 a night over christmas and new year%26#39;s in Ko Samui!

For flights check www.bangkokair.com , the only airline at present which is servicing Koh Samui.

Just a note - Bangkok air are now charging 8,300 baht for a return ticket to Samui which is totally outrageous. I%26#39;d take airasia to Surat Thani (2,000 return) and put up with the three hour transfer by bus and ferry. Todays BKK post says that BKK air are going to code share with Thai airways to the island - hopefully that%26#39;ll mean fares get more realistic.

If you get either the first or last flight of the day it is 4,970 RT.

That%26#39;s okay, don%26#39;t mind paying the $120-$160 for airfare, my time on my vacation is more valuable than extra $100 or so.

Best place to check out hotels and prices is Sawadee.com they list all the hotels and the average room rate. Check the reviews of the hotels here first before booking.

Just booked with BangkokAir a discovery pass, you have to buy a minimum of three passes. For the 5 of us (3 children) we will have four flights within Thailand and paid 1266 CAD, this was incl taxes. You have to this direct with Bangkok Air. I found an office in Vancouver BC. Should be one in Newyork area, just go to their website
