Satun to Langkawi

I am considering heading to Malaysia from Satun by boat and am keen to find out how easy this is to do. Has anybody done this trip and have any tips?

From Satun to Langkawi is very easy. Just jump in a cab to the port, buy your ticket, 250 Baht one way. 50 mins and your here.

It%26#39;s simple we did it in May, but the other way round, went from Langkawi to Satun, had a taxi waiting there and went to Hat Yia for a few days then back to Langkawi.

Cheapest way from the port into Satun is by motorbike, not self drive. They do only carry one passenger, oddly enough.

Don%26#39;t book taxi%26#39;s with any of the vendors in the port, they will charge you 1000 baht. You can get a van ride for 20 baht. Look for the red vans, bit bumpy but cheap.
