Xmas / New Year Break - when to book

Hi there,

I want to go to Thailand (or somewhere longhall from the UK) over the Xmas / New Year break. Does anyone know if it is cheaper to book now, or to wait untill the last minute - like a couple of days before? Am I likely to find anything?

I would expect flight will only get more expensive and scarce availability the longer you leave it.

We booked back in January (to go to Thailand next month for Xmas/New Year), and last month we wanted to add another person. We had gotten an excellent deal by booking so early. so much so that we are travelling business class for a little less than an economy ticket would cost if purchased now! The extra person will not be joining as as they don%26#39;t want to pay 拢1200 for a return economy ticket (and who could blame them!)

In fairness though, it can go the other way as there may be a cheap last-minute bargain due to cancellations, but that is a risk you might not want to take...!
