How far is Chedi from airport?

The hotel charhes 550 Bhat for ride to hotel. I assume thats alot compared to cabs but at $15 USD it seems like a good deal to avoid hassle w. bags/etc.

Thoughts?

Any good nearby restaurants?

If only 1 day for best Elephant experience-any suggestions?

The hotel is only about 15 mins to max 20 mins from the airport, I am not sure how much a cab would cost as we had transport provided from the hotel, it was part of the club floor privileges.

As for restaurants, the hotel has some pretty good recommendations from their conceirge, i cannot remember his name but he was great.

We tried the Good View restaurant nearby, casual and decent food, lots of locals so fairly authentic, Has a live band so can be a little too noisy.

Not sure about elephants as the hotel was so nice, we stayed in most of the time

The Cab ride from Airport to your hotel is THB 150. When you exit the customs turn left, there is a official taxi counter to purchase a taxi coupon.

Whole Earth Restaurant is just down the street along Siridonchia (300m away).

For the Elephant experience, try the Thailand Elephant Conservation Centre (near Lampang). They have a 1-day program.
