We are looking at the KBR next Apr/May. It appears to have everyhing we want. Views from the rooms over the sea. Beautiful beach, reasonably quiet area but within walking to small eating places. Can anyone advise. We also looked at Cape Panwa but would miss the sunsets?
Been to Thailand 3 times and each time have been more than happy with the choice, mainly down to advice from the forum, here%26#39;s hoping we get it right again.
Thanks
Wren
Kata Beach Resort
Hi Wren, You will not be disappionted with the Kata beach resort. Everything you have mentioned is correct. CJ
Kata Beach Resort
Good choice ! being right on the beach makes a huge difference, I really do not like having to pack things into a bag with towel and everything and the have to walk down streets to the beach, being able to go from hotel room thru a hotel /resort%26#39;s garden right onto the beach is wo much better on all accounts, also great when you want to head to the bathroom !
Great choice you will love it!
We have just returned from the Kata Beach Resort and it%26#39;s a nice hotel. But be careful which room category you book as there are a lot rooms facing the noisy roads and I%26#39;d have hated to have been in one. Have a great trip.
Cheers Gerry
I like the hotel, good service, and lots of good restaurants and bars in the area.
The only thing I don%26#39;t like about Kata Beach resort, is that in the reception and restaurant area you notice that it is quite a big hotel, and I persoanlly prefer a more intimite place.
Thanks for everyones response.
Stevnl, I too prefer a more intimate hotel but have failed to find one with all the advantages as the Kata Beach, unless there are any recommends??
I don%26#39;t mind the layout of the Kata beach resort. To look up %26amp; see the planter boxes on every floor full of Orchids %26amp; the plants %26amp; fountain around the reception area.. I find it all so relaxing. Also the walk thru the vehicle entrance the gardens are very nice. CJ
Kata Thani gives me a more intimite feeling, I%26#39;m not sure but I guess it has less rooms.
The Boathouse has everything, but is in a different priceclass.
We stayed at KBR in August. I STRONGLY recommend booking an upgraded sea view room - they are usually not much more money and are well worth it - really great view, bigger rooms, quiet.
The resort is very nice - location related to restaurants and shops is perfect. The breakfast buffet is very good. The restaurants outside of breakfast are just OK.
very clean - very good value when we went
HI dkerr99,
I presume an %26#39;upgraded se view room%26#39; is the de luxe rooms?
We have just got a very good quote from Travelmoods with a deluxe room ( I have requested sea view).
Thanks
