Phuket, Phi Phi & Krabi

I have 4 nights and 4 days in which to explore the area. I am thinking of arriving into the Phuket airport and departing from the Krabi Airport. Am thinking of checking in upon an 11pm arrival into a local Phuket hotel, spend the next day on a tour of the James Bond, Coral Island and others, head out that night to the Phi Phi islands to spend my 2nd night. Tour the next day the Phi Phi islands, perhaps take another tour if possible, spend that night again in the Phi Phi Islands. On my third day taking a boat from Phi Phi to Krabi to spend my final night in Krabi. Is this a doable tour? Is there something I should adjust? Am I better off basing myself in Phuket or Krabi and taking tours to the other area? I have heard that the natural beauty is much nicer in Krabi than Phuket. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Phuket, Phi Phi %26amp; Krabi

You can base yourself in Phuket or Krabi (Ao Nang is nice). You can get to most of the places you mention from either. Our first holiday to Thailand was to Ao Nang in Krabi province and we loved it there. You can catch a longtail boat to the little islands nearby for great snorkelling and it is not anywhere as expensive as catching a longtail out of Phuket. You can get to Phi Phi from there and James Bond Island.

The same can be said of Phuket too - you can get to Ao Nang from there (about 2-3 hrs trip by car) and Phi Phi and James Bond - so I guess it could be a case of 6 of one and 1/2 a dozen of the other!!

Phuket, Phi Phi %26amp; Krabi

Phuket is a typical beach town if you are looking to stay somewhere like Patong Beach. I prefer if you are after more natural beauty Phi Phi, Koh Lanta, Ao Nang and Railey Beach all in the Krabi Pronvince and accessible to each other by boat. Maybe you are best of being based in Ao Nang and taking trips out to Railey Beach (15 mins boat ride away), Koh Lanta and Phi Phi which are over an hour ferry away.
