Is the Baumanburi at the south end of Patong by the Holiday Inn, Burasari etc..? Is it far from the beach?
There are very few reviews and I can%26#39;t seem to find a good location type map.
Baumanburi - Where is it?Yes, close to Holiday Inn, but across the main road next to OTOP market. Hotel looks great, but do not choose a standard room, they are in old guest house building. A better room will get you into the lovely new block overlooking the pool.

Baumanburi, Patong Beach
Stayed with my wife and Baby at the Baumanburi Resort and Spa from November 10th to November 26th 2005. The resort was excellent with a great swimming pool. The staff were all very friendly and helpful at all times. The location was great, about 10 to 15 minutes walk to all the nightlife. Quite a few restaurants near by. The SHAKERS Pizzeria and Steakhouse located within the resort serves GREAT Food. We had a great time staying at the Baumanburi and would highly recommend to all. One more recommendation, BOOK EARLY to get the best deal i.e. ) 2 months before arival. Thanks to all the staff at Baumanburi. From, Anil and Family
how bad exactly was the standard room, we%26#39;re getting it preety cheap..1850bht per night for double...is it far from the pool etc?
