Me and my friend are flying in to Bangkok from different cities (She from Singapore, me from Shanghai). We arrive about an hour apart from each other(she 12.15AM, me 01.20AM). This means she would probably clear customs and wait for me outside at the main arrival terminal. Problem is, we haven%26#39;t been to the new bangkok airport(Savarnbhumi), so where shall we meet?? Is there like a Starbucks that%26#39;s open 24hours or Burger King? Somebody please help us 2 girls in distress. Thanks a million!!!
These 2 girls need help!!!!!!!!!!
I have not been to the new Suvarnabhumi either. But I have this suggestion:
Since one of you will be arriving first and it%26#39;s only an hour apart, then arrange to meet outside the departure gates of the later flight. When you exit the gates first, check the arrival screen for the later flight arrival gate number. Then just go and wait for her at the relevant gate.
Don%26#39;t worry, other than the size of the airport, it is relatively safe and well-signposted.
These 2 girls need help!!!!!!!!!!
Can anyone else offer advice...please?
I was at the airport last week. There would be no problems with your friend collecting her luggage and waiting there for your flight to arrive. She can check what gate you will be arriving and where your bags will come off. Then the two of you can go through customs (the declaring bit) and then out to get your transport.
Or as the previous poster said she can check your gate and wait for you there.
There is a Burger King but that is on the departures floor.
There is a Starbucks on level 3
Indeed there is a Starbuck on level 3 (just 1 level up from arrival)
Waiting at arrivals floor is possible and you can overlook it well.
The new airport is really nice and impresive. Good information panels.
Do this..
Upon your arrival, go to departure hall. Right at the end of the departure hall on the RIGHT, there is a FAMILY MART (like 7-11) and seats there.
Buy a hot coffee while waiting.. its gonna be cold since airport is quite empty by then.
Have u heard of the ...ghost story? LOL just kiddin..
Anyway, enjoy yourself.
Need any bkk help, give me a buzz or email me offline.
Cheers/Cud.

Thank you everyone for the great advice!! We%26#39;re getting really excited cause its just 9 days away!! We can%26#39;t wait to hit the bars, get drunk and pick up cute local Thai boys!!! Thrilling!! AND - with our excitement level this high, the ghost won%26#39;t stand a chance against us! Muacks everyone...thank you again!!!
Oh, forgot to ask - is the Family Mart or Starbucks open 24 hours at the airport? Is the Starbucks at level 3 INSIDE the passengers only area or out at the public access area?
Can a kind soul please help?
Not been there yet, I%26#39;m afraid.
But there is a good website, with maps and even a video presentation:
