Phuket - Hilton Hotel

Hi ! Read heaps of positive review about this hotel....would appreciate if anyone can share :

a) Is public transport readily available at its front lobby, eg tuk-tuk?

b) Is it a beach front resort? We%26#39;ll be travelling with young kids...hope to have minimal travelling time %26amp; effort

c) Any difference in the various wings....which of it has been renovated most recently?

Cheers !!

Phuket - Hilton Hotel

Hi we stayed in the Hilton a few weeks ago. It is a great hotel. It is across the road from the beach, as the Hilton is so big it is a quite a walk.We stayed in the Lotus wing, The rooms are very big in this wing our daughter husband and 2 children all managed with room to spare. The tuk tuks are right outside the resort, they are a very cheap and a fun way to get around. The Hilton is a big resort with lots of pools and a good Kids club. The gym there is very good. The even have a cinema for wet days, The staff are fantastic. We can all recomend it.

Hope this helps

Phuket - Hilton Hotel

Thanks Normnal ! Am glad to hear from someone who have stayed there before...and it sure help in our hotel selection.

are the meals expensive in this hotel?

Meals are expensive at any hotel. We only had one meal at the hotel in the Thai Thai, and yes it was quite expensive compared to outside. We used to have lunch next to the pool from the cafe cino and that was very well priced and the girls there are so nice. Lovely baguets and coffee, it was impossible to change anything though as you thought they understood you, but you never quite got what you wanted, but we didn%26#39;t bother, we saw the funny side.
