Hi Guys
this may sound like a blond question, but are the sea canoes solid or inflatable?

sea canoes question?
Depends on the sea canoes. I%26#39;ve used non-inflatable ones for paddling around open area...they are really nice. To access the hongs, the kayaks are usually inflatable...that way a little air can be let out if the opening is really tight.
sea canoes question?

If it helps at all, while in the hongs, you can stand up if your canoe does deflate. They dry out to mud flats at low tide.
Also, the inflatable sea canoes were very stable. I wasn%26#39;t particularly apprehensive to start with, but definitely did not have any concerns with stability and floatability. I%26#39;m sure if you wanted, you could also ask to wear a life jacket also. We sat on ours.
I think it would be a shame to miss this outing because of that detail. It really is a special experience.
