Military Coup

Hi All,

I have just booked a 2 week honeymoon in Khao Lak (Phuket) and just wondered what peoples thoughts are on the recent coup. Has it made the area volatile or is it gonna get worse etc? What is it like in Thailand since this?

Or is it of no concern and nothing to be too worried about? Also, has the area recovered from the tsunami or are there still many problems?

The pictures and videos look amazing and I cant wait for it, but these things do worry me slightly. Also the british foreign office has a page on travelling to Thailand and warns of a high risk of terrorism.

Can someone reassure me that I am worrying over nothing!?

I just returned from Thailand yesterday. There are no issues regarding the military coup.

As far as the tsunami Phuket has mostly rebuilt. There is still quite a bit of damage at P P Island but well worth the visit.

I spent three weeks in Thailand for my honeymoon and had a great time. If you have any more question please ask.
