Sala Samui or Anantara KOH SAMUI

Which is better??

Honeymoon for a week coupled with 2 off hong/kong/singapore/bangkok

Been looking at both hotels. Is it worth getting the private poolat Sala Samui?

Are there cheaper places to eat around both hotels??

Hi Ross, unfortunatley i cant speak first hand about either - but we are going to the Sala in a weeks time for 10days. This was booked after viewing the excellent reviews on this site and other ';homework';. We have stayed at the Anantara Hua Hin and Chang Rai, both excellent hotels, and from what i have read they both exceed the one in KS.

If you can afford the extra 拢拢 i would say go for the Sala(pool villa if poss, we are in a garden villa, the pool one just exceeds our budget! - but then we%26#39;re not on our honeymoon!) - it is certainly ideally located for restaurants etc and i think after your busy days (and they will be!), in your other destinations you will be glad for your privacy and serenity! Plus if you want to take in the nightlife, its only a 10min taxi ride.

Thanks ferodo..haven%26#39;t priced the other villas as the Garden villa is a t the top of my budget as i%26#39;m including 3daysBangkok and 5 days Hongkong in the trip...around 300more than the balcony at sala, wonder if it%26#39;s worth it if they have nice pools anyway.

Anantara have better balconies i think and a nice infinity pool, around the same price as the balcony at Sala..

only problem is not a lot left at Sala for our requirements so have to make a decision or will miss out.....

Anyone else got a choice...
