Looking Small Luxury Hotel with Good Beach

Me and my wife are considering a holiday to Thailand in October or November. We would ideally like a small luxury hotel with a pool that also has its own clean beach that is good for swimming/snorkelling and sunbathing, but that is within walking or reasonable taxi distance of some good nightlife.

There are so many resort and Islands we are confused as to which to pick. We have looked at places near Pattaya (which looks fun at night), but not sure if some other place or island would be better.

We love a secluded hotel, but don%26#39;t want to be stranded away from anything fun to do in the evenings.

Can anybody recommend anything?

Can you also advise if October/Nov is a good time to travel as we really want to enjoy the sunshine and not have rain or clouds all day.

In october/november usually it have good time without rain. In Pattaya small luxury hotel that have nice beach and not far from night life are fews, the only resort that i can recommand is Rabbit, located right on the beach and few steps from night life of jomtien. Pattaya is only 5-10 minutes with collectives taxi .

You might ry Phuket, Samui or Koh Chang...all have that sort of place, and you can fly from Bkk. Koh Chang you have to fly to Trat on the mainland and take the ferry onto the island. This is not a hassle, your hotel should arrange that.

in Pattaya I would recommend ';Cabbages and Condoms';. Do NOT be put off by the name, they are part of an organisation that educates the poor in the north in farming methods and personal health. The hotel is set in tropical gardens, own pool overlooking the sea, resaurant overlooking the sea and their own beach. The beaches in Pattaya and Jomtien leave a lot to be desired at times but ';C%26amp;C'; spend a lot of effoert keeping their seafront clean. they are a very ';green'; resort with a chiocce of modern bugalows or hotel type rooms.

They have a web site....just put ';Cabbages and Condoms'; into Goggle.

I just stayed in ';cabbages and condom'; in pattaya. It is a dream. Nice rooms, garden and pools. The beach is clean. You can not find anything like this in Pattaya else. To the city nightlife you have to take a taxi or rent a motorbike.

just got back from pattaya we stayed at royal cliff beach resort its not small but it has its own beach and the hotel (resort) is fantastic and the service is greate they have lot of awards for it .

the night life is just 10 minutes with local taxi the taxis are realy cheap if you charter one its 100 baht from hotel to the center of city

i think you better consider this hotel couse you can relax at the privet beach or one of the swimming pools until afternoon and head to the walking street by taxi and get back late at night with local taxi they are every where

I would agree with Cabbages and Condoms , but if you cant get booked in there the Cosy Beach is a nice hotel, superior rooms good, nice pool and a small clean beach on the headland between Pattaya and Jomtien, Taxi rank outside(100Bht into town) and a few small bars and restuarants across the street.
