Where is the weekend Market?

Hello, I have heard that the weekend Market ( I think it starts with a C) is a must and I will only have Sunday to go. I have a few questions.

1-Where is it?

2-How long on Sunday is it open?

3-I will be at the four Seasons, what is the best way to get there?

Thank you for your help.

Ashley

Where is the weekend Market?

Hi Ashley,

You%26#39;ll be talking about the Chatuchak Market, I assume.

1. It%26#39;s a little way up north of Central Bangkok and if you%26#39;re taking a BTS Skytrain, you%26#39;ll need to stop at Mo Chit Station. Or at Chatuchak Park if you%26#39;re taking the city%26#39;s Metro.

2. You can go there as early as 8:30am - the peak is usually from 11am onwards till about 2pm. Think the shops there stay open till quite late in the evening. We usually leave about 4pm and it%26#39;s still relatively crowded at the market.

3. You%26#39;re quite close to the Rajadamri skytain station. So I guess your best bet may be the BTS skytrain. Alternatively, you can always cab there. We paid about 100 baht the last time.

Hope this info helps. Cheers! And enjoy lovely Bangkok ...

Thank you Checkers for your help.

No worries (';,)

Get loaded on a BIG breakfast - %26#39;coz this place is HUGE! You%26#39;ll need to walk all day under the sweltering heat and pit your bargaining skills with the stall owners. It%26#39;ll be great fun!

Chatuchak is also fully open on Saturday. You can take the Skytrain down to Saladaeng Station, one stop from the 4 Seasons, and then take the overhead foot bridge to the Subway. Take the Subway line in the Bang Sue direction and get off at the Kampangphet Station or the Chatuchak station. the Kampangphet Staion leads directly to the flower part of the market and the rest is easily walkable.

Chern,

Thanks for the information. However, I will be landing in Bangkok at 11pm on Saturday and although I know I will be tried I dont want to miss the market and will push through. Thanks again
