Pattaya Questions: Weather & Beach Chairs...

Hello,

Have the heavy rains stopped in Pattaya now? Is it raining at all recently? It%26#39;s hard to tell looking at the reports on the Weather Channel on the internet so would be interested in finding out from someone on the ground what the weather is like.

Also, just curious about the beach chairs in Pattaya. I assume that vendors own them? What%26#39;s the going rate to rent a beach chair for the day?

Thanks for any help!

Beach chairs are usually 20 bahts/day.

Thanks Pimilan on the info about the beach chair rentals. If anyone can help with insight with the ';on the ground'; weather situation, I%26#39;d appreciate it!

Wet season over now but always a possibililty of rain...can%26#39;t understand why people worry so much about that sort of thing....it%26#39;s not the the ice cold drizzle you get up north.

Chairs are everywhere but mid out they don%26#39;t have a safety catch and can collapse if you move them, catching your fingers in a painful scissor motion!!!!!!!

Hi, I live in Pattaya we have had only one shower of rain now in the last two weeks and the weather from now until January will only get better, rainy season is over, dont worry and enjoy your holiday.

Thanks for your input - glad to know that any rain is intermittent. Reason we were worried is last year we went to Ko Samui around this time and while we knew it was the beginning of their rainy season, we didn%26#39;t expect to be deluged with record flooding and rain all day for a full week - it was very disappointing. Families were leaving Ko Samui early because of the weather and it sure puts a damper on a holiday when you fly 27 hours to go somewhere to get out of the damp cold only to have to be in the hot and humid wet rain.

Samui is famous for having 2 rainy seasons....your travel agent should have told you really. The Eastern seaboard is relatively dry even at the wettest time of year...except Koh Chang which has rather high mountains. Samet is known as the driest island in Thailand.
