How much spending money?

Hi, myself and my husband to be are going on a 3 week trip to Koh Samui (6 days in the Anantara), Bangkok (4 days in the Marriott), Langkawi (6 days in Sheraton Beach Resport) and Singapore (4 days in the Marina Mandarin). Our board basis is B%26amp;B in all and were wondering if anyone could offer any advice on how much spending money we would need for each destination, as all apart from Samui %26amp; Bangkok have different currencys.

We will need to purchase lunch and dinner each day, plus general spends for excursions and presents too.

Any advice on form of currency (cards, travellers cheques or cash) would be most welcome also.

How much spending money?

Hi, we were in Penang a year ago which I imagine is similar to Langkawi. Eating at the hotel was quite expensive in European terms so we found various places outside the hotel. General food was cheap - something like 拢7 for a chinese meal for two in a nice restuarant - though alcohol was expensive. All the ATMs accepted our UK cards to withdraw cash. We just withdrew a little bit of cash at a time. Sorry cant help regarding the other places. Have a good time!
