hotel with late check out time?

i will be celebrating new years eve in bangkok but our flight home is not until 23.00 new years day.

has any one stayed any where that are relaxed with checkout time?

i dont expect to lay about the room but would like to stash my bags and maybe use the pool for the day.

we%26#39;ve stayed at a number of Bangkok hotels and we always manage a late checkout,up to about 6pm they put up a fight but are usually OK but much later and you%26#39;ll have to pay. The fact that you are talking about N Y day may make a big difference? It%26#39;s amazing how some hotels say they are full so cannot offer late check out but when you offer to pay they find a room! This year we fly home 3am new years day so I booked the extra night just in case.

Usually find that the hotel will charge for an extra day,or half day.

We usually reserve the room,on arrival at the hotel,and have never had difficulty getting one...cos we are paying obviously !!

The decent hotels usually offer bag storage,and shower/changing facilities,but we prefer to keep the room,as you don%26#39;t feel like you%26#39;re just hanging around all day..Especially if it%26#39;s a late evening,early morning departure.

Just an example,we kept the room till 6 p.m.at the Plaza Athenee,which we stayed on the club floor,and we had asked to extend first,for no charge,but they weren%26#39;t having any of it.Paid on my card,and when my statement came in,had cost 拢35...not too bad really.

Landmark Hotel has 6pm checkout, and if you are in a club room, you could possibly sit in the lounge and partake of the free refreshments, snacks etc and you do have to allow up to 3 hrs for departure from your hotel to get thru the airport and do travel/checkin//customs etc etc.
