I do not know what it is like now but Mom Tris Boathouse was always talked about for a special meal out. Have not been there myself and have not seen it mentioned for a while.

Have just had our 25th in Samui and got a upgrade to a Pool Villa. Make sure all the resorts you are staying at know that it is your 25th as they often will upgrade you to the Honeymoon Suite and provide wine and cake,Get your agent to check for any upgrades that are available . Start your afternoon off by having a two hour spa treatment at your resort but leave plenty of time for a siesta before going out !.

Congratulations on your forthcoming 25th anniversary, not many couples make that these days. Although it must be coincidence as we are also staying at the Diamond Cliff and celebrating our 25th, although ours is on the 12th Nov. We will be at the Hotel between 7 - 17 Nov so if we find a great place we will let you know. We do however get a free candlelit dinner by the beach thrown in with our package, so maybe that will be our special meal on the 12th.

I don%26#39;t think you can have a better venue for your Anniversary dinner than the Boathouse in Kata. We have been there on a number of occasions, last time in February.

The cuisine and the wines are exquisite and the ambience on the seaside (depending on the weather,which at the end of Nov. should be safe enough).

The exact name of the restaurant is the Boathouse Wine and Grill.I forgot to mention that part of the seaside terrace is covered so inclement weather may not be a problem.

Definitely recommend Mom Tri%26#39;s Boathouse Wine %26amp; Grill - we had our anniversary dinner there just last week (31st October) - lovely setting, great ambience, excellent food with a wide range of choices.

Incidentally, this was also the first time I%26#39;ve actually seen a 3600 USD bottle of wine on the menu!

Don%26#39;t forget to make reservations as this is a popular place. In fact, the hotel advises its own guests to make reservations as tables get booked very quickly . Reserve as early as you can (like days in advance) to secure a table out on the terrace overlooking the beach.

Perhaps I should add that the Boathouse Wine %26amp; Grill have a Thai menu as well as a western (essentially French) one, so it%26#39;s really up to you.However there are other excellent Thai restaurants on the island.
