I was wondering if ir is better to take cash, travellers cheques or my debit card. I amtraveling from Bangkok to phuket.

If you can get your traveller%26#39;s checks without fees (from a credit union or financial affiliation) get some for the security they provide. Record the serial numbers in case they become stolen or lost.

For cash and traveller%26#39;s checks stick with the larger denominations. You get slightly more for big bills, such as hundreds or fifties, than small bills.

A debit card works okay in the ATM machines, take out enough to hold you over for several days, don%26#39;t make a lot of small withdrawals to save on the fee costs.
