Hi,
I will be arriving at Bangkok airport at around 7.30p.m and then need to get to my hotel in Pattaya. I was wondering if anyone knows if taxi%26#39;s are willing to drive you out to Pattaya at this time of the night as it is a long trip, and if there would be a price difference?
Or if anyone knows whether the bus service from Bankok to Pattaya still runs at that time of the night?
Any information would be appreciated.
KInd regards,
Nat :)
Travel from Bangkok airport to Pattaya at night?
taxis will take you anytime

When you get out of customs just go down 1 floor to the taxi stand ans tell the kiosk you want to go to Pattaya. I think there is a fixed charge + tolls and 50 Tax.
7:30pm is not late in Bangkok. in fact you will get to Pattaya really before it wakes up for the night.
Enjoy your trip
Nothing to add really but as others have said that is quite early and no problem to get taxi or limo down to Pattaya. taxis/limos are 24/7 no problem at all.
Thanks guys so much for your help I really appreciate it.
Take care
Nat
A couple of times I have flown into Bangkok late on a Friday and instead of heading home have gone to join the family at our condo at Jomtien ( which is just past Pattaya ), the trip never bothers me but I %26#39;do%26#39; splash out that extra and use the Limousine service. I do not know how tight your budget is but using the limo you simply have a more comfortable ride with smart pleasant drivers. I have not done it since the new airport opened but the limo would probably be perhaps AUD 30-40 more than a normal taxi. Anyway you can decide when you arrive but the limo service is in my opinion worth the extra bucks if you can afford it.
hey!
ill be going to pattaya from bangkok too.. the only diff is.. ill be leaving from my hotel.. not the airport.. there%26#39;ll be 4 of us.. would the cabs we hail from the streets be advisable? or would it be better to get a minivan booked from some tour agent in bangkok?
thanks
gordon
You can hail a taxi. Some goes, some not. Just ask them If you have many luggages, you may not be able to get a taxi. I think you can call for a taxi service and ask for a minivan taxi. I do not have a phone no. on hand so you may have to ask a concierge at the hotel.
hi celine(read bout you in the other forums) :),
i was told it is a must to get the cab drivers to go by their meter rates instead of a pre-agreed charge as we might get cheated, is this true? and would it be very costly to call for a minivan cab from the hotel concierge? is it advisable to get a tour agent instead?
regards
gordon
Bangkok to Pattaya is a long haul journey for a taxi so negotiated rate. Ask your hotel concierge, if there are 4 of you with baggage they will arrange a station-wagon or mini van for you very easily, the mini van would give you more room.
thanks monica4!
