has anyone been through the new bangkok airport on route to samui ,is it any easyier then before ? last year when we flew to samui we had to leave the international terminal (with luggage !!) and take a short bus ride to the bangkok air terminal how does it work in the new airport ? and do bangkok airways still have thier own lounge with newspapers internet,drinks etc. thanks

just come back from trip to bangkok and koh samui - i tell you what i was terrified about the new airport from everything i read on the internet but in actual fact it was a breeze! You check in at the main departure building, Bangkok airways will point you in the direction you have to go to get to you departure gate. (There are boards to let you know which gate to go to) On the way there are those moving floor things to make your transit time quicker to the gate - i would say it took us about 5 mins to get to our departure gate - piece of cake! hope this has reassured you.

Just arrived from BK-Ko Samui and we were more than impressed with the new airport, even very positively surprised by the service received by Bangkok Airways, would recomend them.

Tks for the info. Can you tell us, do BKK Airways still have their own lounge with internet, newspapers etc., We dont want to go through if there is nothing there, if you get what I mean. Tks. again.
