Hi just wondering if the snorkelling around koh samui, koh tao etc is good in January, have only been during July/August before. Thanks

No great snorkelling around Samui itself anymore - decent stuff can be found on the many advertised day trips to nearby uninhabited islands - you%26#39;ll see the options when you get there. Usually involves a morning of fishing with thin cotton lines, a lunch with the caught fish (by the boatman mostly!), lunch with fried rice, fruit, drinks included in the price (around 600-800 baht per person per day), and then some good snorkelling nearby. Koh Tao offers good snorkelling, but is not the same kind of holiday ';experience';. More a diving centre.
