Thialand with Ritz Tours

Has anyone toured Thialand with a company called Ritz Tours? They have a 15 day tour from San Francisco to Thialand, covering Bangkok, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai and Phuket. Can anyone recommend a good tour group to cover about 15 days in Thailand.

Thialand with Ritz Tours

Hi:

We are doing a similar tour and we leave in about a week. We are landing in Bangkok but only spending the night there as we spent about 10 days in Bangkok last year. From there we are doing Chiang Rai, Chaing Saen, Chaing Mai and ending up in Phuket, then back to Bangkok for a night befoe departure. I booked our own airline tickets form the U.S. to Bangkok. We used this man named Siddi at www.GrandOrientalTravel. It is a small company. Only three people. I can%26#39;t tell you yet how things have turned out as we don%26#39;t leave for another week, but the preparations have all been good and when I called the hotels to confirm, all our reservations appear to be made and secure. I had them do all the domestic air in Thailand, all the hotels and all the drivers, private guides (we weren%26#39;t into the group tour thing). I compared prices and hotels/ itinarary with 3 different tour groups plus them. They got the same hotels, all private guides and drivers that are English speakng and were far below the price of the 3 U.S. travel agencies from who I requsted Asia tour quotes. They were close in price to a Chaing Mai company I called. I gave each company a list of what I wanted to see and where I wanted to stay to see if I was comparing ';apples to apples.'; We ended up getting this companies name and the Chaing Mai company from a friend who had used them the month before. She travels a lot and thought they were both very good. I%26#39;ll keep you posted on whether it all works out or not. Let me know if you have any other questions. The company we finally choose was about 40 per cent below the U.S. companies for the entire tours. I had each company break down their cost for each hotel, air, driver, guides etc. It seemed that the U.S. companies were higher in the hotes and much higher in the guides and drivers.
