BKK and Phuket

Hi peeps,

I intend to go BKK in late Jan to early Feb to concide with Rain World tour concert.

May I know what r the must do,must see, must go,must eat in BKK? Can anyone advise me and if possible, send me links and directions.

Also, as I m going to save money for concert, I intend to go very budget for this trip. Any good recommendations for this poor girl? haha

In addition, I have long heard abt the famous beaches of phuket. May I knwo what r e ways to travel from BKK to Phuket? Pls advise amt and time needed. How long does one usually stay in Phuket? what to do there?

Lastly, other than Phuket, what r e nearby areas/cities to BKK that I must go and visit? What can I expect there?

Thanks.

Btw I have heard from my fren that Chachutak mkt has been partially destroyed due to a fight. how are things there?

Thanks everyone! :)

BKK and Phuket

I can add to one of your many questions. I will also be traveling from Bangkok to Phucket for their beaches and will be staying at the Hilton on Karon beach. There is a Phucket forum on trip advisor that you should check out. Many people have given their trip reports and great recommendations. We will be going to an elephant rehab center, snorkeling, and on the Hong Starlight trip all which have been highly recommended for Phucket. We are traveling to Phucket via Thai Airlines and I think the flight is a little over one hour. We will be staying in Phucket for one week, however many people stay much longer. good luck.

BKK and Phuket

Hi,

Try looking up Airasia to get from BKK to Phk its about $48 AUD sometimes cheaper. If you have plenty of time I think you can bus it but I dont know the cost of this. As to accomodation just put in cheap accomodation in the search and that should bring up alot of suggestions from other people.

Hope this helps enjoy your trip.
