Cinderella, use the search function on this forum and you will find lots of previous discussions that will help you. I did this, ie type in ';price of meal'; and you will get several threads that people have posted about how much various meals cost. Do the same for tours, clothes, taxi etc. You can then get a good idea about how much things will cost.

Hi,

We found that Phuket can either be an expensive holiday, or cheap as chips. It%26#39;s really up to you and the choices you make.

I would suggest doing the John Gray trip, as this is a MUST and best value for money. We paid approx $105 this includedtwo meals, full access to soft drink and water, great hosts and an experience of a life time.

We found this little place Called Sabai Sabai (think off post office st) that was cheap and fantastic food. There was also a place called Sweets.

We found the best and cheapest massage to be Original one this and Sweets are located along the st with Patong tower at the end of it.

With ATM%26#39;s it%26#39;s best to get money to cover you for a few days, as your bank with charge you appox $5 for every transaction.

When Bartering I tend to use the rule of cutting the price in half and meeting some were in between.

Hope this helps.

Cheap as chips. $100 a day between you%26#39;s will be plenty to cover meals and drinks, also a bit of shopping.

I would do the sea angel tour to Phi Phi, it includes lunch and snorkelling and is well priced. The broucher say%26#39;s 1100 Baht per adult, bargain at one of the tour desks on the street and ask for their best price, we got it for 700 Baht and that was their first offer so no arguing from me.

Where are you staying? there is a good tour place down the stairs at the big 1 supermarket next to the Patong Merlin but just bargain at any one and you will do well.

I find it best to take cash and plenty of places in the streets to change it. About 29 Baht to the dollar so not bad.

Have a great holiday.......Ronnie.
