Hi PhuketRichard...your reputation is outstanding and it has been suggested that you may be able to help, or for that matter anyone else who has experience or knowledge.

My fiance, 18 month old son and I are coming to Thailand around the 16th Oct 06 and would like to get married. We are wanting to stay and have the ceremony on Koh Lone, we are looking to stay at Baan Mai Resort. My questions are;

has anyone stayed at Baan Mai and can provide feedback?

does anyone know of wedding ceremonies being performed there? what will the weather be like towards the middle to end of october?

The other place we are looking at staying is Ban Raya on Racha Island. Has anyone stayed there? do they have a pool?

If anybody has anyother suggestions on wedding planners or other resorts other than phuket island or koh lanta to have the ceremony please let me know..its all getting so confusing. We are both Australian if that makes the process of getting married easier.

I%26#39;m getting married in Thailand in November 06 and can very much recommend www.ThailandWeddings.com . I%26#39;m in almost daily email contact with Jit, the wedding planner, and every detail is being taken care of. We%26#39;ve chosen a traditional Thai Buddhist wedding, but she organises Western style Christian weddings too.

It sounds like you%26#39;re looking for a beach resort, so it may not be right for you as these weddings take place in Chiang Mai in the North of Thailand, but have a look at the site anyway as there%26#39;s lots of advice about the legal side. We%26#39;ve chosen to have the ceremony in Chiang Mai and then to travel to possibly Phuket and Krabi for the beach bit.

I know a guy, his name is Tom, who specializes in organising weddings for small groups, in out of the way places like beaches, islands etc. His local phone number is 01 9795624.
