Homewood suites Orlando

Looking to stay here early Feb 07 after seeing great reviews on this site.

However I would like to know if this is a good location for a theme park holiday. I will not be driving, so i will be relying on transfers/taxi and public transport. So is this a good choice to see and ride on as much as i possibly can in the week i am there?

Any advice will be great.

You are for some reason posted on a Thailand forum, which I happened to be reading. I think your Homewood Suites in on I-Drive in Orlando. This is a very busy street, not downtown Orlando but filled with trinket shops and stuff. I think there is a trolley that runs up and down I-drive. Homewood Suites also say they have a free shuttle service to the theme parks. I-Drive is located near all of the theme parks, especially Wet and Wild and Universal Studios. Don%26#39;t know how convienent shuttle service is. Please keep in mind public transportation in Orlando is almost non-existant. Taxi%26#39;s very expensive. If I were you, I would rent a car at the airport. Orlando is one of the cheapest cities in the US to rent a car. Orlando is a driving town, and everything is a long way away. You could also break up your visit to the theme parks with a side trip to Cocoa Beach if you have a car. Nice beach and surfing only 45 minutes away from Orlando. Your other option is to stay in a hotel on Disney grounds. Their shuttle buses are more frequent I think than I-Drive hotel shuttle. Please keep in mind there is no where you can walk to. You will be very isolated without a car.

Have stayed in Homewood Suites twice before and going back again next year these are the best suitesto stay in . There is a daily bus to and from universal you just have to book your seat free of charge in the morning you want to go. Also free transportation to disney again just book your seat at reception on the morning you wish to go couldnt be easier. We did get a couple of taxis from universal instead of waiting for the bus was really cheap probably about 拢5. Also a taxi from Disney is not that bad if you really want to get back before the bus.
