Helicopter Transfer Bangkok Airport

Hello

Has anyone used the helicopter transfer out of Bangkok airport into The Oriental? or Peninsula Hotel?

We are thinking of doing this and wonder if it is really that much faster.

well, of course it%26#39;s faster--you get there in 5? minutes versus 45 minutes. but do you really want to throw 1000usd around like that?

I looked into this myself but as I am not staying at the Oriental it wasn%26#39;t possible, off memory it costs around 拢280, if it%26#39;s a special occasion - go for it.

Once you add in having to transfer to the helicopter area at the airport as opposed to being whisked off to your limo, I%26#39;m not sure if the time saving would be that great. But it is definitely a nice way to arrive! In any event, at the old airport the Oriental Hotel met you at the gate of the plane and took you through the VIP immigration clearance and vice versa on departure from Bangkok. At the old airport that was a real help, but general procedures at the new airport are reportedly much quicker. I don%26#39;t know if Peninsula does that ( great hotel by the way) but a quick e-mail to them will find out.
